ABOUT THE FOOD CHICK
Julia Celeste, The Food Chick, has been the dining reviewer for San Antonio
magazine since 2004, and the local Zagat editor from 2007 – 2016. She has forged deep
relationships throughout the culinary community and is excited to introduce you to
the people, places, foods, drinks, producers and artisans who make her world hum.
Julia is an adjunct writing instructor at the Culinary Institute of America, has co-
authored a cookbook with a renowned Hill Country chef, and loves to cook at home.

ABOUT FOOD CHICK TOURS
Hang out with Julia as you visit the places that make San Antonio the best eating
city in Texas. Each customized tour provides a relaxing, fun discovery of the chefs,
flavors, aromas and ingredients that make this town unique. Julia gives you insider
access behind the scenes, one-on-one conversations with top chefs and culinary
experts, and tips only locals know. You’ll eat, laugh, explore, and eat some more!

WHERE
All tours begin and end in/near downtown San Antonio. You’ll receive specifics when your
reservation is confirmed. Generally, departures are from a downtown hotel or agreed-upon location.

WHEN
Tour start times and durations are listed on the tour description. We are flexible if
your group has reserved all of the tour spots.

HOW
Upscale transportation with a professional driver is included, except as noted.
Generous portions are also included. Additional food, drinks, cookbooks and tour guide tips are not.

HOW MANY
Because Food Chick tours are so personal, they are designed to accommodate small groups.
If you are a solo traveler, please let us know so we can do our best to accommodate your
request and fill the tour with additional guests. We may have to cancel reservations for tours
that don’t fill, offer different pricing for smaller groups, or combine tour agendas.

HOW OLD
Most of our tours are appropriate for ages 12 and up.

RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS
Please reserve your tour at least 48 hours in advance. We can’t promise anything
with a shorter lead time than that.

PAYMENTS
We’ve made it easy to pay online through our partner FareHarbor. No-shows will be
charged the full price of the tour. No refunds, sorry.

HEALTH ISSUES
If you have major food allergies, these probably aren’t the tours for you. If you’re able
to handle your own issues and know what to avoid, come join us! We can’t be
responsible for those who overindulge in what will make them sick. Consume alcohol at your own risk.
